Night of the Howling Dogs by Graham Salisbury

Who is your favorite character in the story? How do Hawaiian natural disasters compare to Florida hurricanes?

I can't believe this was based on a true story. My heart broke for the Scout troop in the story. The earthquake and tidal wave must've been really scary and nerve-wracking. The Hawaiian storms are really similar to the Florida storms-they both cause MAJOR damage! This book was thrilling, exciting, and scary all in one action packed book.

"Night of the Howling Dogs" is probably the scariest book I've ever read, especially because of the ghost stories. The one about the night marchers really freaked me out. I was biting my nails and gripping my chair! My favorite character was Louie. I liked how he finally turned nice at the end of the book.

My dog now means a whole lot more to me now, and I think that everyone who likes thrilling, cliff-hanging stories should read this book. Great deserver of the Sunshine State Award. Woof woof!

Night of the Howling Dogs was a very good book. I think that it would not be a good book for a girl to read at all but for guys it seems like a very good book if you ask me. It is about a scout troop(for people that don't know what that means it means Boy Scouts) that go to a place in Hawaii near a Volcano and they main character Dylan sees 2 dogs and the meat some paniolos that help them and then the volcano erups and the Scout Troop has to find everyone and it turns into a story about survival. It was a very good book and I think it would be great for boys to read.

I think Night of the Howling Dogs was a very good and gross packed book. The grossest part was when they said Casey had a gash that showed his bone! The scariest part was the night marchers.I thought they were real,i had to ask my mom if they were real.
My favorite character was Casey.I like Casey because he was very brave with that gash. He also was creative. he was creative because when he had the gash he used a stick for a cane.
I think the hurricanes compare by there force. Ther forces are so strong that they can do MAJOR DAMAGE to anything in ther path's!!!!!

  6. Jessica/4th/SterlinParkElem/Casselberry,FL l liked Louie because he was the bravest and he knew what to do. I think they compare by their force because they and because they are both natural forces in nature.
